Beavercreek City Schools is participating in a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Program that provides free meals to our students through June 30, 2021.  This is a zero-cost program to Beavercreek City Schools with the federal government funding all approved meals served during this timeframe.

Why:   Availability of USDA Child Nutrition COVID-19 Waiver

Who:   All Beavercreek Schools (traditional and virtual) students qualify

WhenMonday September 21 - June 30, 2021.

What:  All reimbursable meals

Each reimbursable meal must include a minimum of 3 components of which 1 must be a fruit or vegetable. Students are encouraged to take all five (5) components (protein, grain, fruit, vegetable & milk).

Students will still be charged for ala carte items, (milk without a meal purchase, an extra entree, chips, ice cream) just as they always have.

How     do I enroll my child(ren)?:

Traditional Student - You do not have to do anything, they just go through the lunch line as normal and select their lunch.  The lunch will ring up as $0.00 when entered into the system.

Virtual/Remote Student - Order by emailing Dawn Kacvinsky @  Please provide your student’s name, school, and menu choices either daily or by week.  Menus can be found at the Beavercreek City Schools website ( by clicking on the apple for Student Nutrition.  Meals will be available for daily pick-up at your appropriate school building.

Families who qualify for free/reduced meals are still encouraged to submit their application to ensure that they do not lose their free/reduced status at the conclusion of this program. This is very important, as there is no guarantee when funding for this program will expire.  The application can be submitted on-line or downloaded in paper form by going to the Beavercreek City Schools website ( and clicking on the apple for Student Nutrition.

For any family that would like to donate to the Student Nutrition Department during this time to help cover the costs for previous past due student lunch debt or support a needy student at the expiration of this program you can do so by contacting Dawn Kacvinsky, Operations Manager, at
