Dear Beavercreek Families,
On Thursday, October 29, the Beavercreek Board of Education approved a modification to our district’s restart plan in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. Moving forward, Beavercreek City Schools will use local, building, and district data to drive decisions in order to determine the district delivery model for each school. The Ohio Public Health Advisory System will be used as a data source but will NOT determine the instructional delivery model for our schools.
Accordingly, our school district will resume traditional in-person instruction, 5 days a week for grade levels K-12, effective Monday, November 2, 2020. All virtual learning students will continue to receive instruction online.
Since the beginning of the 20-21 school year, there have seen 20 students who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the district. 8 positive staff cases have been reported. Through contact tracing, it has been determined that the majority of positive cases were a result of activities outside of our school buildings. Examining the spread of COVID-19 in Beavercreek City Schools in consultation with Greene County Public Health will be our driving force for decision making.
