PTO

Fairbrook offers many wonderful opportunities to our students, staff, and families. Our PTO contributes generously with both the gift of time and money, allowing for special programs and materials to enhance the education and character of our children. Every parent/guardian with a child at Fairbrook is automatically a member of the PTO and there are no fees associated with membership.  We are funded primarily through the Fairbrook Foxtrot event every fall as well as participation in Kroger Rewards, Amazon Smile, and local restaurant spirit nights.  Money raised at these events fund programs like COSI on Wheels, Muse Machine, Masterworks (art appreciation), Everybody Counts (differently abled awareness), and social events throughout the year.  The PTO contributes to the school in other ways as well, many of which will fly under the radar. These include refreshing playground equipment for recess, reducing the cost of field trips, and encouraging our staff with classroom supplies and tokens of appreciation.

The Fairbrook Foxtrot is the main PTO fundraising event of the year.  It began in 2013 as a way to promote fun, physical fitness, and school unity while raising the money required to fund PTO programs and events throughout the year.  It is so beloved by students, staff, and families we plan to have it as an annual event forever!  The Foxtrot is held the last Friday in September and consists of a ½ mile obstacle coarse including a hay bale climb, balance beams, tunnel crawls, balance ball hops, and more. Each grade has about 45 minutes to run the course and usually kids have time to run through it more than once or just have a dance party by the DJ with all their friends.

In the weeks prior to the event, students collect donations from family and friends with the opportunity to win tier prizes as well as raffle tickets for prize baskets.  There are several grand prizes awarded to top money earners as well.  Thanks to the generous donations of our sponsors, we are able to provide each student in the school with a free t-shirt for the event.

Please watch this video for an overview and pictures from previous events:
We could not have this event without the generous donations from people like you! The money raised will directly benefit Fairbrook Elementary and 100% of the proceeds for this event fund PTO activities and programs throughout the school year. Thank you very much for your kind donation!

*** IMPORTANT: This link will take you to the Fairbrook PTO PayPal site.  You may log in to pay with your PayPal account or pay by credit card.  Please add your student's name(s) in the notes section.  We keep a tally for each student in order to award prizes for the students.

Our PTO could not function without a small army of volunteers and we need your help!  Please fill out this volunteer form to tell us your availability and areas of interest.  You will then be contacted by a committee chairperson or our volunteer coordinator with more information as events draw near.  We also post a SignUp Genius for volunteer opportunities on our Facebook page so check there too!

We are trying to reduce the amount of paper that comes home from the PTO this year (and especially as many of you have multiple kids bringing home the same stuff!).  Please review the documents below to know more about the PTO and our exciting programs throughout the year.
