BHS Seniors - Class of 2021

For those of you participating in one of our graduation ceremonies, we will be holding graduation practice on May 20th at Beavercreek High School.  The Nutter Center will not allow us to practice there, so we will have to hold practice in the gymnasiums at the high school.

For those graduating on May 24th, practice will be on May 20th at 9:30 AM.  Report directly to the gymnasium.

For those graduating on May 27th, practice will be on May 20th at 1:00 PM. Report directly to the gymnasium.

You must attend practice in order to participate in your assigned graduation ceremony.  If for some reason you cannot attend practice, please let Mr. Evans (td.evans@gocreek.org) know as soon as possible. If you are unsure which ceremony you are attending, check with your parents as they are the one who signed you up.
Senior parents, the BHS newspaper, The Beacon, needs baby photos of your graduate to include in the senior commemorative issue of the newspaper. Please email one baby photo of your senior before April 16th to beavercreekbeacon@gmail.com.  Please include your senior's name with the words baby picture in the subject line of the email.  Please name the file something similar as well.  For example: madirussbabypic.jpg.

Also, we are selling ads to help offset the cost of printing this very special newspaper for the Class of 2021.  Attached you will find an order form with information about placing an ad for your senior.  Here is the link to the Google Form version of the ad request document.  https://forms.gle/tWxmBCbgUGZjH3m1A.  You can turn in your ad request using either method.  This is separate from the baby photos mentioned above. If you want to participate in both activities, please note that your baby photo will NOT be used in your ad.  You do not have to place an ad to have your baby photo added to the baby photo collage.

Please contact Mrs. Russ if you have any questions.

It is important that you check the yearbook display case on the second floor near the yearbook room to verify that the yearbook staff has received your senior portrait.  You MUST let Miss Creech know by no later than Friday, February 5, if there is an error. This is your only opportunity to make sure no mistakes have been made.

Student Request Form - Letter of Recommendation - While this form is not required, it is often quite helpful.  This form can be given to teachers if a student asks them to write a letter of recommendation.  It gives the student the opportunity to list awards won, activities involved in, etc so teachers can write the best possible letter for the student.  Some may have other formats that are used and that is also fine.  If students utilize this form, they only have to fill it out once and make copies for their teachers.
** COMMON APP / NAVIANCE - This document is a step by step guide for students to set up their Common App and Naviance accounts (including screenshots). It is recommended that you use this guide first and then if you still have questions you come to the guidance office. Log-in information was given to students during Advisory in September. Students that do not have an advisory had this information emailed to them at their gocreek address.
ADDITIONAL REMINDERS:
  • Transcripts and letters of recommendation are requested through Naviance so you will need to get those accounts set up sooner than later.

  • Each college has unique deadlines so be sure to watch those deadlines closely.

** How to Start the FAFSA - it is recommended that EVERYONE applying to college complete the FAFSA even if you don’t think you will qualify for financial aid. It opens Oct. 1.  This document helps you get started with that process.  More information will come later about financial aid.
