Parkwood wrapped up our celebration of reading with an author visit from 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Mary Wineberg. Ms. Wineberg wrote a book about reaching for your goals and never giving up. The students enjoyed listening to her share her book and talk about some of her experiences as an athlete. Volunteers participated in a relay race and everyone got to touch her gold medal. What a fantastic opportunity for our Panthers!
