Governor DeWine announced today that Greene County is now at a Risk Level 3/Red, based on the Ohio Public Health Advisory System. As stated in our school restart plan, Beavercreek City Schools will be transitioning to a blended learning model. This transition will begin on Monday, October 19, we anticipate that we will remain in this model for at least two weeks.
For our virtual learning families, the change to a blended learning model will not impact your child’s instruction.
As previously communicated, the blended learning model requires students who are currently attending classes in-person, to attend two days a week based on the first letter of their last name. Student schedules will be as follows:
Students with the last name A-K will attend Monday and Wednesday
Students with the last name L-Z will attend Tuesday and Thursday
On the days that students are not scheduled to attend school will be remote learning days
District transportation services will continue as scheduled - there will be no change.
You will receive a separate communication regarding meal service options for your child on their remote learning days. There are no changes on days students attend school in-person.
At this time, all extracurricular activities will continue as scheduled unless you receive direct communication indicating otherwise.
Expectations During Remote Learning Days of the Blended Model
Instruction will be provided through Google Classroom. Each student has a district issued device. Your child’s teacher will provide more information about their google classroom.
Principals are working with building staff to implement blended learning plans. Principals will be communicating with parents any additional information needed for the transition to blended learning.
