The statewide mask order issued by the governor’s office takes effect today, Thursday, July 23rd at 6PM. This order requires face masks to be worn when anyone 10 years of age or older is in public. The mask order also includes this statement: Schools should follow the guidance previously issued pertaining to masks.
Under our Restart Plan Risk Levels Document, the Beavercreek City School District will at minimum begin the school year at risk level 2 (orange). This level provides instruction in the traditional setting with enhanced cleaning and sanitizing protocols as well as requiring face coverings for all students in grades 3-12 when social distancing cannot be achieved. This level meets the statewide mask order from Governor Dewine. The district will continue to use our plan to ensure that we remain responsive to this pandemic.
Parent and staff surveys will be released today, Thursday, July 23, to gather additional feedback.
