District & School Communications to Parents/Guardians

Beavercreek City Schools uses ParentSquare to communicate with parents via email, text, and app notifications. Each parent automatically receives an account linked to the email address and phone number on file with their child's school.

We encourage all parents to log in, download the mobile app, and customize their preferences for receiving messages. Stay connected with Beavercreek City Schools!

ParentSquare allows Parents/Guardians to:

  • Receive information from the district, your child's school, and extracurricular activities via email, text, or app notifications.

  • Receive updates immediately or through a single daily digest scheduled at a time of your choosing. 

  • Communicate in your preferred language.

  • Direct message teachers and staff.

  • Sign up for parent-teacher conferences.

  • Sign forms and permission slips, sign up to volunteer, and more, all from your desktop or mobile device.

ParentSquare Help

  • ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent/guardian using the email address and phone number on file in Progress Book.

    If you've received an invitation email or text to join ParentSquare, just click the link to activate your account. You can also use your email or phone number to set up your account without the invitation.

  • To update your contact information, please login to your parent portal in OneView and change your contact information inside the "Student Demographics, EMA, and Agreements" form for each of your children.

  • Parents/Guardians should be able to see all of their children and schools in one ParentSquare account. If you are missing a child/school, it may be because you have more than one ParentSquare account with different contact information, or your contact information is inconsistent across our student information system. Please login in to your parent portal in OneView and confirm your contact information inside the "Student Demographics, EMA, and Agreements" form for each of your children is correct.

    If you need further assistance, please contact parentsquare@gocreek.org.

  • Please check your spam folder to see if any ParentSquare messages ended up there, and mark them as "Not Spam." Also add donotreply@parentsquare.com to your email contacts so your server recognizes our messages. If you still are not receiving emails, please contact parentsquare@gocreek.org so we can assist you.

  • Please visit the ParentSquare website and click “Forgot Password” on the login page. Put in your email or phone number, and you’ll be sent a link to reset your password. 

  • ParentSquare allows users to customize their notifications based on notification type and select their preferred delivery method for each school. Notification types include:

    • Urgent Alerts & Notices (cannot be disabled)

    • School Alerts

    • General Announcements & Messages (posts only)

    You can customize your notification settings by going to My Account and clicking Notification Settings. If you are receiving too many notifications, try switching to a Digest setting where you will only receive one condensed message in the evening. 

    Change your notification settings on a computer:

    1. Click on your name in the top right corner of the website.

    2. Click on My Account.

    3. Click on Notification Settings on the left side of the page.

    4. Adjust your settings for email, text, and/or app notifications for district and school level announcements.

    Change your notification settings on the mobile app:

    1. Click the three bars at the top left of the app.

    2. Click on Account.

    3. Click on Notifications.

    4. Adjust your settings for email, text, and/or app notifications for district and school level announcements.

  • If you are a parent/guardian of a current student in Beavercreek City Schools and you do not wish to receive updates from your child's teacher, school, or the district, you will need to turn off all email, text, and app notifications in your notification settings. Please see the instructions under "How can I receive fewer notifications?"

    Please note, no one can opt out of "Alert" notifications.

    If you are not a current parent/guardian and you are mistakenly receiving messages, please contact parentsquare@gocreek.org and provide the email address and/or phone number that needs to be removed.

  • To resubscribe to text messages, text START to 66458. This will reenable and resume sending text messages to your phone number. Please also ensure that this number is not being blocked or filtered out on your mobile device.

  • You can customize your language settings by going to My Account and clicking Language Settings. From here, you can choose any language you prefer from the drop-down menu and you will start to receive content in that language.

    Change your language setting on a computer:

    1. Click on your name on the top right corner of the website.

    2. Click on My Account.

    3. Click on Language Settings on the left side of the page.

    4. Choose your language from the drop-down menu.

    5. Click Save.

    Change your language setting on the mobile app:

    1. Click the three bars at the top left of the app.

    2. Click on Account.

    3. Click on Preferences.

    4. Click on Language.

    5. Choose your language. It will save automatically.

  • Contact your child's teacher privately by using ParentSquare's direct messaging tool. On the home page, click on Messages in the left sidebar. From here, you can send a direct message to your child's teacher that only you and the teacher can see. You can also send messages to other staff members at the school, such as your child's coaches and club leaders.

  • Yes. The first time you log into the ParentSquare app or web portal, all of your students should automatically be listed in your account. If you don’t see them, please contact parentsquare@gocreek.org.

  • Merging allows users to view all student accounts together without logging into each individual accounts separately.

    Follow these directions to merge your accounts so everything is in one place:

    Merge accounts on a web browser:

    1. Log in to your main ParentSquare account.

    2. Click your name in upper right and select My Account.

    3. Click Combine with another account.

    4. If there are any accounts matching your verified email(s) or phone(s), a page with recommended users will appear.

    5. Click Combine Accounts, confirm any additional contacts on the account, and click Combine Accounts. If you do not see the account you want to combine, click combine another account.

    6. Log in to your other ParentSquare account.

    7. Select name to use on your account and click Combine Accounts.

    8. Your accounts are now combined. The next time you login to ParentSquare, you will be able to access your account using any* of the associated email addresses or phone numbers on your combined account. *Note: Staff must sign in with the email or phone number associated with their staff account.

    Merging accounts on the ParentSquare mobile app:

    1. Log in to your main ParentSquare account. Note: Staff must log in with the email or phone number associated with their staff account.

    2. Tap menu in upper left, select Account, then Combine Accounts.

    3. Sign in to your other ParentSquare account.

    4. Select name to use on your account and click Combine Accounts.

    5. Your accounts are now combined. The next time you login to ParentSquare, you will be able to access your account using any* of the associated email addresses or phone numbers on your combined account. *Note: Staff must sign in with the email or phone number associated with their staff account.

  • Yes, students in grades 6-12 have access to StudentSquare so they can receive announcements from their school, teachers, and/or extracurricular activities. If you have a student in grades 6-12, help them sign up for StudentSquare by following these instructions.

  • Beavercreek Schools may send information specific to your student through ParentSquare's Secure Document delivery. You can view documents related to your child quickly from the web browser or from the app. You can also click the link provided in an email, text, or app notification.
