Active Duty Military Open Enrollment (Grades K-12)

Welcome Military Families

Beavercreek City Schools is proud to support and serve military-connected families. In accordance with Ohio law, children of active-duty U.S. military members stationed in Ohio may apply for open enrollment in Beavercreek City Schools, regardless of district residency.

While acceptance is not guaranteed, Ohio law requires all public school districts to provide an application process for eligible military families.

  • Students in grades K-12 whose parent or legal guardian is an active-duty member of the United States Armed Forces stationed in Ohio may apply for enrollment through this process.

  • Application Window

    • Opens annually on the first Monday of May at 8:00 a.m.

    Notification Timeline

    • Applications received by July 25 will receive a decision by August 1.

    Important

    • A separate application must be submitted for each student.

  • Please have the following documents ready in PDF format before beginning your application:

    ✅ Active-duty military orders

    ✅ Student 504 Plan (if applicable)

    ✅ Student IEP (if applicable)

  • No. Ohio law requires districts to provide an application process, but enrollment decisions are made according to district policy and available capacity.

  • Yes, families should review annual requirements and application windows.
