Homeless Education & McKinney-Vento Services

We Are Here to Help

Beavercreek City Schools is committed to supporting students and families experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or displacement. Under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, eligible students have rights and protections that help ensure uninterrupted access to education and school services.

If your family is living in a temporary housing situation, sharing housing due to economic hardship, staying in a shelter, motel, vehicle, campground, or other temporary arrangement, you may qualify for support and services.

How We Can Help

Students experiencing homelessness may be eligible for:

  • School enrollment assistance
  • Transportation services
  • Free school meals
  • Access to educational programs and services
  • Assistance obtaining school records and required documents
  • Referrals to community resources and support services
  • Support to help maintain school stability
