Mrs. Brown’s Honors ELA class participated in the VFW’s Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest. This year’s prompt was “How are you inspired by America?”
The essay contest encourages young students to examine America's history and their own experiences in modern American society by drafting a 300- to 400-word essay.
Congratulations to seventh graders Audrey Abel, who placed first, and Juliet Faith, who placed second.
As finalists, each student received a monetary award and a letter for their accomplishments.
