HEY BHS (BHS GCCC) & FH Students!! It's that time of year to purchase your homecoming tickets! To successfully buy your ticket, you must first fill out the Google Form (emailed to you by Ms. Debord on Sept. 18) in order to receive your "unique code" that will be used on Ticket Spicket. This is a two-step process that needs to be completed by 11:59 PM on Friday, September 29th. If both steps are not completed by the deadline, you will not receive a ticket. A more in depth walkthrough on how to purchase your ticket can be found in the NEWS section of the BHS website, along with some frequently asked questions. Wednesday, September 20 is Picture Day for ALL grade levels. Look your best and wear your brightest smile!
All Seniors should have their photo taken on Wednesday. Seniors, this will ensure that you are included in the yearbook and senior composite. If you have a photo taken at one of the other board-approved studios, it can be switched out for this photo in the yearbook if you prefer.

Congratulations to senior Emily Harris! Emily recently won first place in the Patterson High School Scholar Award Essay Contest for Chemistry I students and placed in the top 10 for the exam portion.
Originally established by Charles A. Thomas and Caroll A. Hochwalt, former Dayton chemists and Monsanto researchers, the top chemistry students in the area have been recognized under the auspices of the Dayton Section since 1943. In Dayton, students who take the local section exam are also eligible for the Patterson High School Chemistry awards, the longest continuously awarded High School Chemistry prize in the USA.
The top ten scorers on the local section exam are invited to write an essay on how chemistry affects their lives, with prizes for the top three essays. Emily's first-place win included a $1000 prize. Great job, Emily! #CreekProud #BcreekSchools
Congrats to Tamara Frost, who was awarded the 2023 Outstanding Educator of the Year Award, & Angie Hemmerich, who was awarded the Support Staff Member of the Year Award! Mrs. Frost teaches music at Shaw Elementary, & Mrs. Hemmerich is the head custodian at Parkwood Elementary.

Did you know? National Honor Society offers FREE TUTORING every day from 7:30 -8:00 am in room 1026 at BHS. Students can assist with various subject areas. (Tutoring is unavailable on delay days, state testing days in the spring, and during exam week at the end of both semesters.)

There is a $45 package option - this includes the black gown, cap, orange tassel, and orange stole that each graduate will need for the ceremony.
A parent letter was emailed to parents over Labor Day weekend with ordering information - this letter can also be found in the News Section and under the Seniors Class of 2024 section of the BHS website.
Kona Ice will be at BHS during all 3 lunches on Thursday, September 14th. They will be located in the parking lot right outside the Commons. Students in grades 10-12 are welcome to visit the Kona Ice truck; cash and credit card are accepted.

The Beavercreek Girls Soccer Program attended the TOPs Special Needs Soccer Camp for the 12th year. The team worked with the kids to help them with their soccer skills. It was an excellent time for all, but a highlight of the day was the wheelchair Hot Wheels Soccer Game.
BCS Hope Squad students are hosting a Game of Hope on Friday, September 22, during our home football game against Wayne High School as part of National Suicide Prevention Month.
Connection is a factor that protects people from suicide risks, so Hope Squad members would love for the community to show up to this game wearing a Game of Hope t-shirt to show support to those who are struggling with their mental health.

Beavercreek City Schools is honored to share that BHS JROTC Cadet Ricky Contreras was selected to receive a $30k scholarship to the AFJROTC Flight Academy in Florida this summer. After eight weeks in the program, Ricky returned with his official Private Pilot's License! Congratulations Ricky!
