September 24th's “Beavercreek’s Best” features intervention specialist at Coy Middle School, Katie Rice. Continue reading to learn more about her! 🏫 NUMBER OF YEARS AT BEAVERCREEK CITY SCHOOLS: 13 years 🍓 WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB: A corn and strawberry harvester for Suter Produce Farms. 📚 WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE AUTHOR OR BOOK: “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah 🏃‍♀️ WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SCHOOL MEMORY FROM WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER: My favorite school memory is from my senior year. I loved running cross country and I enjoyed seeing my team do well at meets across the state. 🐘 FONDEST MEMORY IN YOUR CURRENT POSITION: One of my most memorable moments in my current position was meeting up this fall with a past student athlete and his mom at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and spending the whole afternoon catching up. It's so rewarding to see your former middle school students grow into successful young adults! 🧡 WHAT PIECE OF ADVICE OR ENCOURAGEMENT WOULD YOU SHARE WITH ALL STUDENTS IN OUR DISTRICT: "Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out." - Coach John Wooden Katie, thank you for all you do! We are grateful to have you! #BcreekSchools
