🌟 Fairbrook Elementary Second Graders Explore Caesar's Creek! 🌟
Recently, some of our adventurous Fairbrook second graders took an exciting field trip to Caesar's Creek, where they learned all about fossils! 🦖🦴 Students had the opportunity to explore and collect their own fossils while discovering the ancient history beneath their feet. This hands-on learning experience brought science to life in such a fun way! 🌿✨

We found some spooky School Spirits at Fairbrook this week!

Second Graders went on a field trip to Caesar's Creek to learn about and collect fossils.

It’s National School Lunch Week! 🍎
Since 1962, this week has celebrated the importance of nutritious school lunches in supporting student success. At BCS, our Student Nutrition department serves around 4,000 lunches and 750 breakfasts daily, ensuring students have the fuel they need to thrive in and out of the classroom.
A huge thank you to our dedicated nutrition staff for their hard work in providing balanced meals that positively impact student learning and growth! #NationalSchoolLunchWeek #BcreekSchools

🎻 Musical Magic at Fairbrook! 🎻
On October 9th, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra's String Quartet visited our Kindergarten and 1st-grade students at Fairbrook Elementary! 🎶
Kindergarten enjoyed a musical rendition of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, while 1st-grade experienced The Great Dinosaur Adventure. Through beautiful music, students learned about high and low sounds, the string family of instruments, and how music can tell a story.
Thank you to the DPO String Quartet for this memorable and educational experience! 🎵

It's National Bus Safety Week! This week is dedicated to:
🚌Raising awareness about bus safety
🚌Educating the public, especially children, about safe bus practices
🚌Promoting safety measures among bus drivers, schools, and transportation providers
🚌 Reducing bus-related accidents and injuries
To help ensure the safety of our students, our School Resource Officers (SROs), along with Deputy Chrystal Bowers of the Greene County Sheriff's Office, participated in "ride-alongs" with several of our drivers. They were on the lookout for safety issues like illegal bus passing and speeding drivers.
Throughout the week, they will also be monitoring bus stops and school zones across the district to keep our students safe! Thank you to everyone for your commitment to student safety! 🚍 #NationalSchoolBusSafetyWeek #StudentSafety #BcreekSchools #OneDistrictOneMissionOneCreek

🧭 Fairbrook 5th Grade Geocaching Adventure! 🗺️
Our 5th graders recently had a blast geocaching on the Fairbrook grounds! Using GPS devices, they hunted for 9 hidden "caches" by inputting latitude and longitude coordinates—modern-day "hide and seek!"
A big thanks to Wright-Patterson AFB's Wizards of Wright Program for providing the GPS devices and to our awesome parent volunteers for helping out! 🧭✨

Military students at Fairbrook enjoyed a visit from the Beavercreek High School JROTC team on Wednesday. They were given a demonstration on how to properly fold the flag, had a chance to play games with the high schoolers, and learned about the uniforms their parents wear to work.

Today we awarded our first Shine Award of the year to Veronica. She is a 4th grader in Mrs. Becker’s homeroom. Veronica exemplifies good character especially when it comes to the Golden Rule. She treats her classmates and teachers with respect and kindness. She is quick to encourage others and help them when needed. She is responsible and works hard even when things are difficult. She is a great example of GRIT to others! Congratulations Veronica on working so hard to be a student of great character.

✨ Today is School Custodian Appreciation Day! ✨
Let’s take a moment to say THANK YOU to all of our custodians who work tirelessly to keep our schools and buildings safe, clean, and running smoothly. We’re lucky to have approximately 48 custodians throughout the district who make a huge difference every day! 🙌
Pictured here are our amazing head custodians, but we want to extend our gratitude to every custodian in the district for everything they do. You are truly appreciated! 🧹🏫 #CustodianAppreciationDay #ThankYou #BeavercreekSchools #OneDistrictOneMissionOneCreek

Fairbrook's Girls on the Run Athletes and Coaches volunteered to work at a hydration station at the Air Force Marathon. They handed out drinks and popsicles to the runners. Great job ladies.
