If Elevated To Risk Level 3 (RED) - Blended Learning Model

*The following information is for those parents that selected the traditional in-person instructional option for the first semester, this is part of the district's Restart Plan, and will only be implemented when necessary. This model, if implemented, only applies when the school district or Greene County is under a Risk Level 3 (Red).

As you prepare for the start of school, we wanted to provide more information about what the Level 3 Blended Learning Model will look like should the county, district, or a building be forced to move to this level.  Students will attend 2 days per week in school and receive virtual instruction 3 days per week.

The District Administration worked closely with our teacher’s association leadership to plan for the initiation of our Blended Learning Model, should the county, district, or building be required to advance to the Risk Level 3 (Red), due to the current pandemic.  Our teachers selected the following design as the best instructional delivery model for our students under this Blended Learning Model/Risk Level.

If the county color changes to Level 3 Risk Level (Red), it is our intent to provide two-day notice to families and staff prior to transitioning to the Blended Learning Model. If the district/building escalates beyond Greene County’s Level/Color due to confirmed local cases and guidance from GCPH, the transition to the Blended Learning Model may be implemented immediately.

As mentioned in the Restart presentation, building principals will work to accommodate families with children with different last names for the Blended Learning Model.

Just to reiterate, the preceding model will only be implemented should the district be moved to Risk Level 3 (Red). Our district is currently operating and plans to open at Risk Level 2 (Orange), which represents Greene Country's current level. Under Risk Level 2 (Orange), students will report 5 days a week for face-to-face instruction.
