United States Active Duty Military Open Enrollment 2025–2026 School Year
Effective April 9, 2025, Ohio law requires all public school districts, regardless of their open enrollment policy, to accept students for open enrollment if their parent or guardian is an active duty military member stationed in Ohio. To learn more about this, please click here.
Application Window
Opens: Monday, May 19, 2025 at 8:00 a.m.
Closes: Friday, June 13, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
IMPORTANT: A separate application must be submitted for each student.
Required Documents for Application
Families will be required to upload the following documents when they apply. Please have these items prepared in PDF format before beginning the application process:
Active military orders
Any student 504 Plans
Any student IEPs
Notification of Acceptance or Denial
Parent/guardian notifications will be sent by August 1, 2025.
Next Steps After Acceptance
Families must schedule a registration appointment within 10 days of receiving their notification.
