Outstanding Educator

The annual Outstanding Educator Award has been established to recognize six (6) educators (teacher, counselor, school nurse, or speech pathologist) who exemplify excellence in our schools. Three (3) educators will be chosen from both the elementary (PreK-5) and secondary (6-12) levels.  Educators who have not won the award in the past five years can be nominated.

We would like YOU to be a part of the process of recognizing the incredible staff we have here in Beavercreek! It is recommended that nominations focus on the following qualities:

  1. DILIGENT - Instructional ability and/or accomplished education in diverse areas, including characteristics such as good classroom/clinic/school management, providing prompt feedback to students, and setting high expectations for herself/himself and for others.

  2. PROFESSIONAL - Professional attributes, which include characteristics such as continuing to seek professional growth activities and updating educational knowledge; sharing newly acquired knowledge with professional peers; and pride in their students’ accomplishments.

  3. EMPATHETIC - Humanistic qualities, which include characteristics such as demonstrating flexibility related to student needs, encouraging acceptance of self and others, and maintaining high morale among students.

  4. INVOLVED - Community involvement, which includes characteristics such as making a conscientious effort to become involved in extracurricular activities and community activities, exhibiting strong district pride and spirit, and bridging the gap between the district and the community.

Outstanding Support Staff

The annual Classified Support Staff Member Award has been established to recognize four (4) support staff members from our schools who exemplifies excellence for the current school year. Any support staff member that has not won the award in the past five years is eligible to be nominated.

  3. EMPATHETIC - Humanistic qualities, which include characteristics such as demonstrating flexibility related to district needs, encouraging acceptance of self and others, and maintaining high morale among peers.

  4. INVOLVED - District/Community involvement, which includes characteristics such as making a conscientious effort to become involved in extracurricular/community activities, exhibiting strong district pride and spirit, and bridging the gap between the district and the community.
