Our fifth-grade students at Main Elementary recently embarked on an interstellar adventure as they delved into the mysteries of the planets in our solar system - and they did it in the most creative way imaginable: with Play-Doh! They thought it was out of this world that the size of some planets was so small compared to the largest ones! A special shout-out of thanks to the parents who donated the colorful homemade Play-Doh! πŸŒŽβ˜€οΈ

This week, our Valley Third Graders presented their Animal Research Reports. For these projects, students transform into Zoologists to answer the PBL driving question: How can I as a Zoologist design the ideal habitat for the animal of my choosing? Students spent weeks researching and writing a five-paragraph informational essay on an animal's habitat, life cycle, predator/prey, adaptations, and fun facts. Then the students created a diorama supporting their research of the animal's habitat. Check out some of these projects! 🦞🦎
