Mrs. Pelphrey's Fundamentals of Business class recently learned how to craft professional business letters and address envelopes. Students were challenged to write to brands they admire; two received responses last week! 🙌
Freshman Ian McKibben heard back from the Cincinnati Reds with a personal letter and an autographed photo of Joey Votto! ⚾️ Sophomore Josh Stetz received a letter, a sticker, and a voucher for 2 St. Louis Cardinals game tickets during the 2025 season! 🎟️

🎬 4th Graders Watch The Wild Robot on the Big Screen! 🎬
To wrap up our Wild Robot novel study, Fairbrook 4th graders enjoyed seeing the story come to life in theaters!
They compared the book to the movie and discussed how Roz adapted to survive. Then, students created their own "lucky duck" habitats, exploring different animal environments. 🦆📚 #WildRobot #BcreekSchools

This past Thursday, the talented voices of Beavercreek High School’s Chordially Yours, Ankeney’s A Choired Taste, and Coy’s Unaccompanied Minors came together for a big rehearsal, bringing over 70 members together in harmony! They’re gearing up for their much-anticipated performance at Cabaret on November 9th. 🎤✨
Under the direction of Justine Haynes and Elyse Eveland, these groups are set to deliver an unforgettable show. Mark your calendars—this is a performance you won’t want to miss!

Did you know? Beavercreek City Schools recently conducted a traffic study for the area around the proposed new high school site at Alpha Bellbrook Rd. and Indian Ripple Rd. 🚗🚦
In partnership with the City of Beavercreek, Beavercreek Township, and Oberer Development, the study analyzed current traffic and projected volumes through 2028—and even considered potential needs as far out as 2048. 📈 The results will guide future infrastructure upgrades to support a high school at this location, working closely with City, County, and Township officials.

🏆 Shoutout to Tucker Goldshot! 🧢
Tucker, a 9th grader at Ferguson Hall, recently competed in the 2024 Cincinnati Reds Baseball/Softball Skills Champions Day at Great American Ball Park!
He finished an impressive 2nd overall in the 9th-grade division, going up against top scorers from across the region! ⚾️

🎉 Math Mile Success! 🎉
Recently, Mrs. Mcnachtan's class at Trebein Elementary, alongside nine awesome parent volunteers, participated in Miss Conley's incredible Passion Project—the Math Mile! 🏃♂️📐
Every 100 meters, students stopped to answer a new math question, recording their answers before continuing their run or walk. Each student tackled at least 16 questions while completing their mile! 🤯
Special shout-out to our top runner, who went above and beyond by finishing a full 5K! 🙌

The Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run event gives boys and girls, ages 7-14, a chance to showcase their baseball and softball skills, with the ultimate goal of performing at the MLB World Series! 🌟 Athletes advance through local events to Team Championships at MLB stadiums, with the top scores earning a trip to the Finals! 🏆

🌟 Fairbrook Elementary Second Graders Explore Caesar's Creek! 🌟
Recently, some of our adventurous Fairbrook second graders took an exciting field trip to Caesar's Creek, where they learned all about fossils! 🦖🦴 Students had the opportunity to explore and collect their own fossils while discovering the ancient history beneath their feet. This hands-on learning experience brought science to life in such a fun way! 🌿✨

Shoutout to our talented 6th-8th grade performers from Coy and Ankeney Middle Schools, who recently brought the powerful hip-hop musical World of Wonder to life on stage. 🌟 The cast and crew worked tirelessly to tell the heartfelt story of a family navigating the challenges of an autism diagnosis.
Through the eyes of Jenny, Noah’s sister, the audience witnessed the family’s journey of strength and understanding, ultimately embracing that autism is not a loss but a different way of living. 🌍💙

🐾 Class Pets! 🐾
Ms. Hamlin's Preschool class at Parkwood has two special class "pets": Ollie the Octopus and Todd the Turtle!
Each Thursday, Ollie and Todd go home with a student for the weekend, where they journal their adventures together. When the students bring them back on Monday, they present to the class all the fun they had!

Our Valley fifth graders recently participated in the D.A.R.E. program with Officer Peffley!
As part of the program, students had the opportunity to navigate through cones while driving pedal carts and wearing goggles that simulated being under the influence of different substances. Even Principal Chivington joined in on the activity! 😊

🎻 Musical Magic at Fairbrook! 🎻
On October 9th, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra's String Quartet visited our Kindergarten and 1st-grade students at Fairbrook Elementary! 🎶
Kindergarten enjoyed a musical rendition of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, while 1st-grade experienced The Great Dinosaur Adventure. Through beautiful music, students learned about high and low sounds, the string family of instruments, and how music can tell a story.
Thank you to the DPO String Quartet for this memorable and educational experience! 🎵



🚒 Earlier this month, Mrs. Hart & Mrs. Ammon’s preschool class went on a scavenger hunt! 🚒
In honor of Fire Prevention Week last week, the students have been learning about community helpers, focusing on firefighters. They explored how firefighters keep us safe and learned about important safety items in our school and community, such as fire alarms, fire hydrants, and fire extinguishers.
After their lesson, the class went on a scavenger hunt to find pictures of everything they had learned. It was a fun and adventurous way to reinforce the importance of fire safety! 🔍👩🚒
